Travel must-haves for babies and toddlers

Our tried-and-true travel must-haves!

  • Megan has used this double travel strollerfor three years—across continents, on bumpy paths in Truckee, and it’s even the one our nanny prefers (to our Uppa) in San Francisco. At under $200, it’s one of my top recommendations for a stroller that actually works, has plenty of storage, and is still affordable.

  • This reusable sticker book has different backgrounds so your little one can create their own scenes with stickers. The best part is they are thick, reusable stickers that won’t ruin your furniture/windows/car seats, etc.

  • On a recent weekend trip with my best friend and her family, she introduced me to Wikki Stix, and I can’t believe I spent 3.5 years without them (OK, maybe the last six months, they’re for ages 3+, which seems accurate). You can get them in a big bucket, but individually packaged ones were amazing for throwing a few in a purse without making a mess. I will never travel without them again!

  • The Hideaway Getaway Duffel from No Reception Club is the best suitcase for staying organized. It has adjustable dividers, a luggage sleeve for rolling suitcases, insulated pockets for snacks or meds, and a laundry compartment. Use GREENSTREETSOCIAL20 for $20 off.

  • One of the most annoying parts of traveling with kids is making sure you have a car seat from the moment you land through your drive back to the airport. Michaela’s family relies on the WAYB Pico for a reliable car seat (for kids 26-50 lbs) that folds up into a backpack.

  • When we were using bottles, I brought this portable bottle brush with drying rack with us everywhere.

  • My favorite thing to pack before any trip is a new pair of matching jammies, ideally ones that represent where we’re going! Some places I’ve found cute sets are Mori, Gap Kids, Petite Plume, and Little Sleepies.

  • Travel Magna-Tiles require no introduction!

  • Every well-intentioned travel recommendation will only get you so far if you don’t have snacks. Like, the number of snacks you think you’ll need times at least four. This snack container keeps them separated, which is also visually fun for your little one, especially if their snacks are colorful (and no shade at all if they’re all beige).

  • The Milk Snob 5-in-1 cover serves many purposes, from covering your travel stroller for baby’s nap to serving as a breastfeeding or high chair cover, or even a blanket.
